چکیده

Background: Total knee replacement (TKR) is a commonly performed surgical procedure, all across the world. TKR may be associated with severe postoperative pain, usually requiring prolonged hospital stay and relative immobilization of patient, cause unwanted medical problems like nosocomial infections, DVT poor outcome. Local infiltration analgesia (LIA) becoming more used owing to excellent pain relief, low frequency complications, anti-inflammatory effect. The injection contains mixture an anesthetic drug NSAID, which epinephrine or corticosteroid can added. LIA easy use, relatively cheap, many authors concluded that it reduces opioid consumption. Objectives: 1.To assess relief postoperatively using visual analogue score (VAS). 2.To range movements (knee flexion extensor lag) postoperatively. Methods Methodology: This study observational clinical study, centered at private between March 2019 October 2020. Data was collected from 42 patients undergoing total local periods 2020 October. Written informed consent taken. Patients allergy any drugs, uncontrolled diabetes hypertension were excluded study. A (cocktail) drugs ropivacaine, ketorolac, adrenaline normal saline given spinal needle. Quality estimated by 0 10 6 hr, 24hr, 48 72hr after surgery during rest movement assessed goniometer. entered in excel sheet analyzed paired t test. Software SPSS 20 for statistical analysis. Efficacy of lornoxicam in postoperative analgesia after total knee replacement surgery.

In total knee replacement operation, patients have a severe pain in the postoperative period. Because of side effects of opioids, multiple postoperative pain treatment regimens are more suitable in these elderly patients. In this double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled study, the effect of lornoxicam administration (32 mg/48 hour) on morphine consumption and drug-related side effects were ...

The efficacy of subcutaneous local analgesic infusion in the early postoperative period after bilateral total knee arthroplasty.

OBJECTIVES This study aims to evaluate the analgesic and functional efficacy of subcutaneous local analgesic infusion (ScLAI) in the early postoperative period (especially on the second postoperative day) in patients undergoing simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty with an intraoperative periarticular injection (PAI) of local analgesic cocktail. PATIENTS AND METHODS Fifteen patients ...

Postoperative analgesia after total knee arthroplasty.

We read with great interest the article of Wang et al.1 concerning the use of continuous local anesthetic infusion via catheters placed with ultrasound guided and nerve stimulator beside femoral nerve for postoperative analgesia after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We congratulate them on the presentation of the article. However, we would like to add some comments. We agree with author that reh...

Local Infiltration Analgesia Versus Regional Blockade for Postoperative Analgesia in Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

BACKGROUND Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is one of the most commonly performed procedures while postoperative analgesia still remains challenging. The efficacy and safety of local infiltration analgesia (LIA) versus regional blockade (RB; epidural analgesia and/or peripheral nerve block) for pain management after TKA are controversial. OBJECTIVES The purpose of this meta-analysis was to deter...
